JAI KHODIYAR & CO. LIMITED T/A WAIHI BEACH GROCERS operates a retail grocery business serving the local community and visitors to Waihi Beach. The business requires a Store Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of store operations, including staff supervision, stock control, sales performance, customer service, and compliance requirements. This role is essential to ensuring the store operates efficiently, maintains high service standards, and meets business objectives.

Location: 20 Wilson Road, Waihi Beach, Bay of Plenty Region, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $32 – $37 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 50 hours per week

Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years of retail experience OR Level 4 or higher qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine product range, stock levels, and service standards.
  • Implement purchasing policies and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Promote and advertise store products and services.
  • Assist customers with product selection and provide customer service.
  • Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions.
  • Monitor store sales and prepare budgeting and cost control measures.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
  • Prepare staff rosters and allocate duties to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve revenue and profitability.
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently maintained.
  • Manage purchasing, stock ordering, stock control, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor product displays, pricing, merchandising, and promotional activities.
  • Resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly and professionally.
  • Implement and monitor health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with suppliers and coordinate stock deliveries and purchasing arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and relevant legislation.
  • Oversee day-to-day store operations independently and make business decisions as required in the best interests of the business.
