About JP Media
JP Media is the cultural and brand communication division of Just Prestige Group. Since 2017, we have delivered concerts, international artist tours, brand activations, institutional events, public diplomacy projects, PR campaigns and cross-cultural media experiences connecting Chinese and New Zealand audiences.
Working alongside JP Live, we bring together strategic planning, creative content, media relationships, community engagement and live-event execution to create memorable experiences for artists, brands, institutions and audiences.
About the role
We are looking for an organised, people-focused and culturally aware Marketing Specialist to support our marketing, communications and event campaigns.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who enjoys research, writing, audience communication and project coordination, and who wants to build practical marketing experience within the entertainment, media and events industries.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns for concerts, artist tours, brand activations and institutional events
- Research target audiences, cultural trends, media opportunities and potential campaign partners
- Prepare clear and engaging content for social media, websites, email campaigns, event materials and stakeholder communications
- Coordinate campaign schedules, content deadlines, participant information and stakeholder follow-ups
- Support audience enquiries and communicate event or campaign information accurately and professionally
- Assist with community outreach, media relations, KOL engagement and cross-cultural communications
- Support event promotion and on-site marketing activities when required
- Maintain marketing databases, contact lists, campaign records and administrative documentation
- Monitor campaign engagement and assist with preparing reports and post-event summaries
- Work closely with internal teams, clients, suppliers, artists, community organisations and other project partners
About you
You may be a recent graduate or an early-career professional looking to develop within marketing, media and events. You will ideally have:
- A relevant qualification in marketing, communications, media, social sciences or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good research, analysis and content-writing ability
- Confidence communicating with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and follow-up skills
- A professional, patient and service-oriented approach
- The ability to manage routine tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A willingness to learn digital marketing, social media and campaign-reporting tools
- An interest in entertainment, live events, brand storytelling and Chinese-New Zealand engagement
- English proficiency; Mandarin language ability would be advantageous
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
