About the Role

We are looking for a Part-Time Accountant to support the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial administration. This role is well suited to an accounting graduate or accounting professional with an interest in the logistics and transport industry.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments and journal entries
  • Assist with GST returns and routine tax-related records
  • Assist with tracking transport, fleet and operational costs
  • Support inventory and cost recording where required
  • Reconcile bank accounts and financial records
  • Maintain accounting documents and supporting records
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and general accounting tasks
  • Work with management to ensure financial information is accurate and up to date

 

Requirements

  • Relevant accounting qualification or currently studying accounting
  • Understanding of financial and management accounting principles
  • Knowledge of GST, journal entries and basic financial reporting
  • Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience or knowledge of Xero or MYOB is an advantage
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Reliable, responsible and willing to learn
  • Good English communication skills
