About the Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced, values-driven leader to provide strategic and operational leadership for Womens Health at Middlemore Hospital. Working with clinicians and the management team, you will shape the services direction, drive improvement, and support excellent patient care and staff wellbeing.
You will lead:
- Patient care and experience fostering kindness, compassion, and excellence.
- Health equity improving outcomes for Māori, Pacific peoples, and communities experiencing disparities.
- Staff engagement and development building an inclusive, high-performing team.
- Patient safety and flow delivering safe, effective, timely services.
- Operational and financial performance ensuring sustainable, responsive services.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will partner across the Division to drive innovation and better outcomes, while managing SMOs and Womens Health inpatient services.
This is an opportunity to lead change and make a tangible difference in a complex, vital area of healthcare.
About You
We seek an accomplished healthcare leader with:
- At least five years healthcare management experience, including people, financial, and change management.
- Proven success leading and developing high-performing teams.
- A strong record in change, service improvement, and performance.
- Experience fostering innovation, collaboration, transparency, and customer focus.
- Ability to manage complexity, risk, and competing priorities.
- Operational and capacity planning experience.
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- An early riser who can effectively manage day-to-day operations.
