We are looking for an experienced Supply Officer to join our tight knit supply chain team. Small and friendly team environment

In your role as Supply Officer, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining a reliable supply service to a range of wards and clinical services across Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, Southern.

Key areas of focus will include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Support and maintain the supply service across the organisation
• Liaising with departments to requisition and order catalogue and non-catalogue supplies and services
• Providing a comprehensive purchasing support function
• Providing an effective delivery and receipting service for supplies, services and equipment
• Completing duties of the Supply Officer in line with Southern policy around purchasing and supply

Hours of work will be 7am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• proficient skills in the Microsoft Office suite of applications particularly Word and Excel
• the ability to pick up new computer systems and concepts quickly
• good literacy and numeracy skills
• confidence and the ability to work independently
• Experience or knowledge of the health sector would be advantageous.

We will provide you with full, on the job training - you won't be thrown in at the deep end!
