About the Role

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinical leader to take on an exciting new role as Service Clinical Director Womens Health Anaesthesia and Operating Rooms (Level 9). The Womens Health Anaesthesia & ORs service is seeking an exceptional candidate to provide clinical and operational leadership and help shape the future direction of the service.

This is a pivotal role in ensuring the effective functioning of the Level 9 operating theatres and supporting the professional practice of anaesthetists working within the service and providing specialised perioperative care for Womens Health. Working in partnership with the senior clinical staff of the unit, the Service Clinical Director will provide strategic direction and take responsibility for the clinical and operational aspects of service delivery, including clinical quality, operational performance, service improvement and ongoing development.

You will be a vocationally registered anaesthetist with proven clinical expertise in Women Health Anaesthesia and will have experience in a leadership role ideally with a management qualification. You must have substantive knowledge of the New Zealand Health system with experience in the relevant field.

About you | Important Skills

As the ideal candidate, you will be a vocationally registered Anaesthetist with proven clinical expertise in Womens Anaesthesia and will have experience in a leadership role ideally with a management qualification. You must have substantive knowledge of the New Zealand Health system with experience in the relevant field. The role involves both clinical time and clinical director responsibilities.

You will bring a passion for continuous improvement, a commitment to team development, and the ability to deliver innovative and practical solutions and, skilled at building strong relationships, influencing others, and driving meaningful service improvements.
