Your new role
As a Senior Claims Specialist, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional claims experience. You'll assess policy coverage, investigate claims, and negotiate resolutions with empathy and professionalism. Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively managing your own portfolio of financial lines and general liability claims through to resolution.
- Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders through clear communication and a values-led approach.
- Overseeing the litigation process in collaboration with our Legal Panel.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce claims costs and minimise leakage, while promoting a strong risk management culture.
- Providing technical support and mentoring to Claims Specialists on complex matters.
About you
You'll bring experience managing complex matters, whether that's from within claims or a legal environment. For a legal professional, this could be a great opportunity to apply your expertise in a new context while gaining exposure to the insurance side of claims. You'll put customers first and will have:
- Experience managing complex matters end-to-end, ideally within claims management, liability, financial lines or a related legal environment.
- Strong analytical thinking, negotiation and practical problem-solving, with the ability to assess detail and make sound decisions.
- Clear, confident communication with strong organisation skills, including the ability to influence, manage conflict and build trusted relationships.
- A legal background, law degree or experience working with litigation, liability or disputed matters would be highly regarded.
- Insurance industry knowledge and exposure to end-to-end claims management is advantageous, but not essential for candidates bringing strong transferable legal experience.
- Experience across financial lines and/or general liability claims would be ideal, with support available to build further understanding of the insurance claims environment.
