Customs Broker

Hellmann NZ is looking for a Customs Broker to join our team in November 2026.

* Manage end-to-end customs clearance, ensuring NZ Customs and MPI compliance

* Prepare and sign accurate declarations (classification, valuation, duties)

* Provide expert advice to customers and internal teams on customs requirements

* Liaise with border agencies to ensure timely shipment clearance

* Resolve clearance issues and maintain accurate documentation

* Support compliance activities and drive continuous improvement

* NZ Customs PIN certified with solid knowledge of NZ regulations

* 5+ years' experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding

* Strong expertise in classification, valuation, and duty optimisation

* High attention to detail with a compliance-focused mindset

* Strong communication skills and customer focus

* Able to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines
