Welder/Fitter – Production Machinery
Place of employment: Hamilton, Waikato. Row Hygiene Supplies Limited.
Full time: Minimum 32 hours per week. Monday to Friday, with some weekend work may be
required.
Remuneration: $30 to $35 per hour depending on experience and/or qualification

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to support the safe and efficient operation of our
hygiene supplies production line.
The role involves welding and fitting machine parts and structures, carrying out mechanical maintenance and repairs, and operating production machinery, including CNC rewinding, cutting and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
 Fabricate, weld, fit and repair machine parts, frames, guards, brackets and supports.
 Fit, replace and adjust embossing rollers, conveyors, bearings, chains and other
mechanical components.
 Build and modify machine frames and conveyor systems for production projects.
 Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and general servicing of production
machinery.
 Diagnose mechanical and pneumatic faults and complete necessary repairs.
 Inspect welded joints, fittings, spindles and moving machine parts.
 Operate and monitor CNC rewinding, cutting and packaging equipment.
 Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
 Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot operational faults and alarms.
 Load and correctly align production materials using a forklift.
 Check finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards.
 Maintain accurate records of production, inspections, servicing, repairs and
replacement parts.
 Assist with improvements to machinery and production processes to increase
efficiency and reduce waste.
 Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
 Work independently and assist with the efficient operation of the production line.

Skills and Experience
 Minimum of at least 1 year of experience or a relevant qualification
 Trade-level welding and fitting skills.
 MIG welding experience is essential.
 Experience maintaining and repairing production machinery.
 Good mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
 Knowledge of pneumatic systems would be an advantage.
 Experience operating CNC or other production machinery would be an advantage.
 A forklift licence is preferred; however, training may be provided.
 Willingness to complete any required workplace and health and safety training.
