Job descriptions:

  • Develop, implement and regularly review health and safety plans and procedures for workshop and on-site installation activities.
  • Identify workplace hazards, assess health and safety risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Develop and monitor safety measures to minimise risks from wood dust, noise, chemicals, machinery and other physical hazards.
  • Carry out regular inspections of workshops, installation sites, work processes, machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor safe working practices for cabinet manufacturing, cutting, handling and on-site installation activities.
  • Provide employees with health and safety training, including the correct use of personal protective equipment and safe working procedures.
  • Promote safe working practices to reduce risks associated with manual handling, repetitive work and the use of tools and equipment.
  • Record and investigate workplace injuries, incidents, near misses and equipment damage, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain health and safety records and prepare reports on workplace safety performance and identified risks.
  • Assist with the safe return to work of employees following workplace injuries where required.

 

Job requirements:

  • A diploma qualification or above in a relevant field, or a Bachelor’s degree in any field, or at least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to provide health and safety guidance and training to workers.
  • Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and risk management.
  • Ability to identify workplace hazards, assess risks and recommend appropriate control measures.
