Guaranteed hours: Minimum 60 hours fortnight

Pay rate: $26.00–$35.00 per hour, dependent on experience

About the role

GR Saini Transport Limited is looking for Class 5 & 4 Truck Drivers to join our Auckland team across day and night shifts. This is a full-time position with a minimum guaranteed 60 hours every fortnight, offering the opportunity to be part of a well-established and growing company. Key duties

Position duties may include but not limited to the following:

• Driving heavy vehicles

• Loading and unloading Freight and other material from commercial businesses

• Ensuring compliance with vehicle load limits and safety regulations

• Completing the necessary paperwork as required under legislation and business

procedures

• Delivering goods to specified customers with specified time frame. To assist in

Loading and unloading trucks

• Maintaining truck in clean and tidy condition to comply with standard industry

requirement. Updating management on matters requiring attention.

• Filling logbook daily and handing in a copy on a fortnightly basis to the office. Picking

up the manifest/paperwork from dispatch for delivery

• Any other tasks related to the discharge of your duties

Minimum requirements

•      A current, clean Class 5  or class 4 New Zealand driver licence or eligible to get one 

•      A minimum of 01 year relevant work experience

•      A current Dangerous Goods (DG) licence

•      Swing lift experience, or the ability and willingness to complete training

•      A friendly, professional manner and strong communication skills with customers

•      A proactive approach to Health & Safety for yourself and others

•      Ability to work well within a team, with a can-do attitude

•      Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as required

•      Must complete pre-employment medical/drug testing and a Police vetting check

•      New Zealand Residency or a valid NZ work visa
