The Company:
For many years, our client has been supporting the medical industry across New Zealand and Australia. They offer a suite of innovative digital platforms and solutions that connect GPs, specialists, health providers and clinics.
At the heart of their offering is a leading GP e-referral platform, trusted by more than 7,500 GPs and 13,000 specialists and powering almost one million referrals a year, across NZ and Australia.
Their technology provides a quick and efficient way for health professionals to connect, communicate and refer patients, while also helping medical practices reach the right referrers, improve workflows and build stronger practices.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a polished, articulate and experienced phone-based BDM / Account Manager to join their Ponsonby sales team and help grow their New Zealand and Australian client portfolio.
This is a phone-based sales role, where you will be engaging with medical specialists, allied health professionals, clinics and the people who manage their practices. They are a busy, educated, time poor, bunch of professionals, who appreciate solutions that are easy to use and will bring genuine value to their businesses.
You will be proactively calling these medical professionals to sell a range of web-based solutions, on-line directory solutions, e-learning, advertising and marketing services.
The Role in more detail.
You will:
-
Proactively engage with medical specialists, allied health professionals, clinics and Practice Managers across NZ and Australia.
-
Develop new business while also managing and growing an existing portfolio of clients.
-
Build strong, long-term relationships and become a trusted point of contact for your clients.
-
Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and grow account value.
-
Sell a range of digital solutions including the referral platform, online directory solutions, e-learning, advertising and marketing services.
-
Show clients how the platform features meet their goals, whether that's more of the right referrals, a smoother workflow, or a stronger practice. You're selling real value, not a subscription.
-
Confidently run online demonstrations, webinars, using screen shares and video walkthroughs to showcase the technology.
-
Use CRM, AI and other sales tools to help with research, administration and follow-up.
-
Be flexible to work across both NZ and Australian clients
This is not a call centre or scripted telesales position. You won't have a Team Leader hovering over you or listening to your calls. They are looking for an experienced salesperson who can confidently manage their own conversations, build rapport quickly, deepen existing relationships and sell value.
And while there is a strong new-business focus, prospective clients are generally known to the business, so it is really warm business and there are also some existing accounts to manage and grow.
The hours: Preferred hours – 9:30am- 6pm, or 10am to 6:30pm, allowing you to work effectively across both the NZ and Australian markets.

Good CRM capability, strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail.
-
Account Management, media, advertising, SaaS or broader B2B sales experience could all be relevant. Healthcare experience would be useful but isn't essential.
