Day to day you will be:
- Steel stud framing and installing suspended and grid ceiling systems across commercial projects
- Fixing and setting plasterboard across bulkheads, walls, and ceiling applications to a commercial standard
- Working independently on site and executing tasks without close supervision
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings as required across commercial projects
- Maintaining the quality of workmanship that the company's commercial reputation depends on
- Working comfortably in a physically demanding environment including Wagga's extreme summer heat
What We Need
- Trade qualification in Plastering or Carpentry, NZ qualification is acceptable to start work and will be formalised through RPL within approximately four weeks of starting
- Demonstrated commercial plastering experience across steel stud framing, suspended ceilings, bulkheads, and plasterboard fixing and setting, residential finish-only backgrounds will not be considered
- White Card, must hold or obtain before starting
- Current driver's licence, essential
- Qualified NZ carpenters with residential framing and sheeting experience are also strongly encouraged to apply, the skill set transfers directly to commercial plastering work
- Ability to work independently on a commercial site without close supervision
- Physically capable of working in a demanding environment including extreme summer heat
- Genuinely committed to relocating to Wagga Wagga permanently, this is not a FIFO or short-term role
