Rooney Earthmoving Ltd is a large family-owned South Island business with an extensive work base and in South Canterbury. We have been around Canterbury for over 50 years and have become a trusted, progressive brand in the civil construction industry.

With the new season upon us and a several land-mark projects we are currently recruiting for a permanent Project Manager to join our Timaru construction team.

A Project Manager with Rooney Earthmoving Ltd has a hands-on earthmoving or roading background with leadership skills that complement their team. They will work alongside a civil team to plan tasks and work methodology, achieving the contract targets. They will have personal attributes that include:

• Capable of running a team of workers and a fleet of equipment.
• Experienced on production outputs of a range of civil earthmoving machines and equipment.
• A proven skill of following plan design, survey setout and QA testing.
• Skilled at health and safety practices including knowing how to keep a team safe.
• A positive leader who gets in and helps the team to get results.
• Always professional in the face of clients and other stakeholders.
