Class 4 Truck Driver wanted for civil works around Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago

Wilson Contractors (2003) Limited is a locally owned and operated civil construction business with a strong reputation across Central Otago, Queenstown Lakes and Southland. Since 2003, we have delivered bulk earthworks, roading, drainage, infrastructure and siteworks projects, backed by a practical team culture and a strong commitment to safety.

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Class 4 Truck Driver to join our Queenstown team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys a mix of driving, site work, and being part of civil construction projects that help shape the region.

What’s on offer

·    Permanent, 3 full-time roles based in Queenstown

·    Monday to Friday work, with Saturday work as required

·    Guaranteed minimum of 80 hours per fortnight, maximum 120

·    NZD $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills and qualifications

What we’re looking for

·    A full New Zealand Class 4 Driver Licence + WTR (training given to suitable candidates)

·    Previous truck driving experience, ideally in civil construction

·    Tipping and spreading experience is an advantage

·    Confidence loading, transporting and unloading aggregate materials safely

·    A strong sense of responsibility for vehicle care and daily maintenance checks

·    Good physical fitness and a willingness to work in a practical, hands-on environment

·    The ability to work well independently and as part of a team

·    A strong commitment to health, safety and doing the job right

·    Positive communication skills and a reliable, can-do attitude

The role includes

·    Transporting aggregate and other materials safely and efficiently to and from work sites

·    Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting maintenance issues promptly

·    Operating in line with company procedures, road rules and health and safety requirements

·    Working closely with site teams to support project delivery and day-to-day logistics
