Company Overview

PJ International Limited is an Auckland-based professional services group. For more than a decade, the company has been dedicated to supporting families, students, entrepreneurs, and skilled professionals who wish to study, work, live, and develop their future in New Zealand. Our services include visa and immigration advice, education pathway planning, and related professional support, with clients across the Asia-Pacific region.
The company operates in a multilingual environment, with a team comprising New Zealand- licensed immigration advisers, education consultants, marketing professionals, and client-services staff. We support clients across a range of language markets, including Chinese, English, Thai, Burmese, Korean, and Japanese. As our resident visa, Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), and international education services continue to grow, there is an increasing need for a structured and professional marketing capability that can translate the company’s broader business objectives into effective and measurable marketing initiatives across multiple service areas.
As we continue to invest in and develop our immigration and education businesses, we are seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our Auckland office and take responsibility for the company’s end-to-end marketing activities, including market research, marketing planning, campaign execution, channel and content management, and the analysis and evaluation of marketing performance.

Job Summary

PJ International Limited is seeking a Marketing Specialist to be responsible for the planning,
execution, and evaluation of the company’s advertising and marketing programmes across its immigration, education, and visa service lines. The role combines strategic marketing planning with hands-on campaign delivery, market research, and consumer insight analysis, and is responsible for
ensuring that marketing activities are aligned with the annual sales targets established for each service line.

The successful candidate will work closely with the company’s New Zealand-licensed immigration advisers, education consultants, and recruitment leads to translate business objectives into practical marketing plans and to plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns. The role will focus particularly on Chinese-speaking prospective clients and New Zealand-based education providers. The Marketing Specialist will also use market and consumer data to support decision- making in relation to service positioning, pricing strategies, and the selection of promotional and distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and organise the company’s advertising and promotional programmes so that they are aligned with, and actively support, the sales targets established for the immigration, education, and visa service lines.
• Advise the leadership team, education providers, and other institutional partners on
advertising strategies and campaign approaches, including how best to reach defined target audiences, build brand awareness, and effectively communicate the strengths and value of the company’s service offerings.
• Coordinate the end-to-end production and delivery of advertising campaigns, including
creative artwork, copywriting, video and social-media scripting, WeChat, RED (小红书) and
TikTok content and Google advertising, and media placement, ensuring that campaigns are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Analyse consumer data drawn from the company’s CRM, enquiry records, landing-page
analytics, and social-media dashboards to identify client behaviour, preferences, engagement levels, and conversion patterns across different service lines and target markets.
• Monitor emerging shifts in client sentiment and market conditions — including changes in
migration and study-abroad demand, evolving decision-making behaviour among prospective clients, and movements in the New Zealand labour market — and translate what is observed today, and what is likely to develop over the coming twelve to twenty-four months, into planning input for services, target markets, and messaging priorities.
• Scope prospective service opportunities — for example, newly-introduced visa categories, additional source-country markets, and new education-related service ideas — by assembling an evidence base of commercial indicators, competitor benchmarks, enquiry statistics, and other supporting data before decisions on launch or investment are made.
• Support the wider commercial growth and development of the business by preparing,
implementing, and reviewing marketing objectives, policies, and rolling marketing programmes that are aligned with the company’s quarterly and annual business plans.
• Design, run, or outsource structured research activities — including client-satisfaction surveys, focus-group sessions with recent immigration and education clients, competitor reviews, and pricing benchmarks — in order to uncover growth opportunities for both the company’s existing service portfolio and any newly proposed offerings.
• Advise across the full marketing mix, including service package configuration, pricing structure, advertising and sales promotion, direct-sales enablement, and distribution and partner channels, so that each service line is positioned appropriately and reaches the right target clients through the most effective channels.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business, Business Management, Marketing,
Commerce, Communications, or a closely related field from a New Zealand or overseas
institution; OR at least three years of relevant hands-on commercial marketing, sales-and-
marketing management, or client-facing marketing consulting experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience covering the full marketing lifecycle — including the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies, campaign planning and delivery, client relationship management, contract negotiation, and market research — ideally gained in a professional services, cross-border consulting, education, immigration, recruitment, or comparable client-facing environment.
• Practical exposure to the New Zealand professional services environment — for example, a previous internship, work-integrated learning placement, or full role within a New Zealand- based immigration, education, recruitment, or client-services organisation — sufficient to be effective in a New Zealand-based marketing role from the first day.
• Solid understanding of the international-education and study-abroad client journey, including consultation, pathway planning, application processing, and post-application support, sufficient to inform how the company’s education services are marketed to prospective students and their families.
• Working knowledge of market research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting
techniques, and the ability to translate research findings into clear pricing, positioning, and
channel recommendations for the leadership team.
• Fluent professional English and native-level Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken, with the ability to consult, present, negotiate, and produce marketing collateral in both languages.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for documentation,
reporting, and presentations; comfortable with data entry, contract administration, and client- status tracking in a CRM or equivalent system.
