About All Star Cleaning 

All Star Cleaning, operated by JV BRAR Enterprises Limited, provides professional cleaning services to residential  and commercial clients throughout the Wellington region. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an  experienced and capable Cleaning Services Manager to lead our cleaning operations, support our workforce and  maintain consistently high service standards. 

About the Role 

The Cleaning Services Manager will plan, organise and control the day-to-day delivery of the company's cleaning  services. The role includes coordinating employees, client requirements, work schedules, quality standards,  supplies and operational resources across multiple cleaning sites. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

• Plan, organise, manage and review the day-to-day operations of the company's residential and commercial  cleaning services. 

• Coordinate cleaning contracts and ensure services are delivered according to agreed client requirements,  schedules and quality standards. 

• Prepare staff rosters, cleaning schedules and site allocations based on contractual requirements, workloads  and employee availability. 

• Recruit, induct, train, supervise and support cleaning staff, including monitoring attendance, productivity,  conduct and performance. 

• Allocate duties and provide clear instructions regarding cleaning methods, client expectations, health and  safety requirements and site-specific procedures. 

• Conduct regular site inspections and quality-control checks, identify service issues and arrange prompt  corrective action. 

• Communicate with clients regarding service requirements, schedules, feedback, complaints and changes to  cleaning contracts. 

• Investigate and resolve client concerns promptly and professionally and maintain positive client  relationships. 

• Assist with preparing service proposals, quotations, operational plans and cost estimates for new and  existing clients. 

• Monitor staffing requirements, equipment usage, cleaning-supply expenditure and other operating costs.

• Order and maintain appropriate stocks of cleaning products, consumables, uniforms and equipment.

• Coordinate the maintenance, repair or replacement of cleaning machinery and equipment.

• Develop and implement cleaning procedures, quality-control systems and operational policies.

• Ensure cleaning activities comply with workplace health and safety requirements, chemical-handling  procedures and applicable regulations. 

• Maintain accurate records, including rosters, attendance records, inspection reports, stock records, incident  reports and client communications. 

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, service quality, client retention and business growth.

• Report to the company director on operational performance, staffing matters, client feedback and business  requirements. 

Minimum Requirements 

Applicants must meet at least one of the following requirements: 

• At least three years of relevant experience in the commercial or industrial cleaning industry, including  experience supervising or managing cleaning staff and daily service operations; OR 

• A qualification at NZQF Level 4 or above. 

Skills and Attributes 

• Sound knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals and quality standards.

• Demonstrated ability to supervise employees, prepare rosters and coordinate work across multiple sites.

• Strong organisational, time-management, leadership and problem-solving skills. 

• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and employees  from diverse backgrounds. 

• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements. 

• Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain operational and administrative records.

• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and respond appropriately to operational  issues. 

• A full or restricted New Zealand driver licence, or the ability to obtain one, as regular travel between client  sites may be required. 

Availability 

The successful candidate must be available to work in accordance with the operational requirements of the  business. This may include early mornings, evenings, weekends or public holidays when reasonably required. The  role provides a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 45 hours per week.
