We're looking for an experienced Pavement Supervisor to join our Palmerston North team. In this role, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of pavement construction, rehabilitation and maintenance works, leading crews onsite to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll be the link between the field and project teams, coordinating people, plant, materials and subcontractors while keeping productivity, quality and safety front of mind.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, building strong relationships with crews and clients, and taking pride in delivering quality outcomes. You'll have the autonomy to lead your team while being backed by an experienced and supportive management team that values collaboration, development and continuous improvement.

Whether it's pavement renewals, rehabilitation works, maintenance activities or broader civil construction projects, you'll play a key role in delivering essential infrastructure that keeps communities connected and moving.

The key responsibilities in this role include:

• Leading pavement construction and maintenance crews to achieve productivity, quality and safety targets
• Planning and coordinating daily and weekly works programmes
• Managing labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
• Monitoring project progress and resolving site issues as they arise
• Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Ensuring all works are delivered in line with Downers Zero Harm principles
• Supporting and developing team members to achieve their best

We're looking for someone who brings strong leadership capability, practical experience and genuine passion for delivering quality infrastructure projects. You'll ideally have:

• Proven experience supervising pavement, roading, sealing or civil construction crews
• Sound knowledge of pavement construction and maintenance activities
• Strong planning, coordination and resource management skills
• A commitment to health, safety and quality excellence
• Experience working to programmes, budgets and performance targets
• Relevant industry licences, tickets or qualifications
