About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Alcohol & Other Drug Clinician, with a minimum of 2 years experience, to work alongside our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team. The role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people navigating the justice system through the CADS Justice Triage pathway. Working alongside Community Corrections and the Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Court (AODTC), you will complete specialist alcohol and other assessments, contribute to treatment planning and support individuals to access appropriate treatment pathways. In addition to the justice triage component, you will maintain a small community based alcohol and other drug caseload, providing ongoing assessment, intervention and support to tangata whaiora within the community.

About the Team/Service

Community Alcohol and Drug Service (CADS) provides support and services for adults (18 years and over) and whanau with complex alcohol and other drug concerns, often alongside mental and / or physical health co-morbidities. We are a team that values professional development and believe that tangata whaiora deserve care from clinicians who are both skilled and compassionate. Our team works collaboratively with our Te Whatu Ora, Waikato colleagues and across the Rohe to achieve positive outcomes for our tāngata whaiora, while continuing to grow and develop our own practice.
