About the Role

Work in a structured teams supported by registrars and consultants.

Palmerston North Hospital offers the following opportunities in general medicine and medical subspecialty runs.

Ability to rotate through the below medical runs:

• Cardiology
• Renal
• Neurology
• Geriatric Medicine – subacute including outpatient clinics.
• Haematology
• Medical Oncology
• Radiation Oncology
• Medical Relief
• General Medicine (Gen Med, Geriatrics, Neuro)

There are also opportunities to do both an ICU and an Emergency Medicine rotation.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. (Check eligibility on www.mcnz.org.nz )
• Completed PGY2 year or equivalent.
• A keen passion for Anaesthetics. Previous experience in independent basic anaesthesia is preferable but not a key requirement.
• Dynamic and adaptable.
