Restaurant Manager

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
• Planning and organising special functions and arranging seating.
• Coordinating front-of-house and kitchen operations to ensure efficient service.
• Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Communicating with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service and resolving customer concerns where required.
• Selecting, training, supervising and managing waiting, bar and kitchen staff.
• Preparing staff rosters and allocating duties according to operational requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, occupational health and safety and other relevant regulations.
• Maintaining records of stock levels, purchases, sales and financial transactions.
• Managing stock control, ordering and inventory levels.
• Ensuring correct food and beverage pricing and portion control are maintained.
• Developing and updating menus in consultation with chefs.
• Planning and monitoring budgets and financial controls.
• Monitoring labour costs and operating expenses.
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety and customer service are consistently maintained.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

• Relevant NZQF qualification; OR
• At least two years of relevant experience in restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Strong understanding of health and safety and food safety requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
