We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Free Range Poultry Farmer. This is a full-time, permanent position with minimum guaranteed 30 hours of work per week. The successful candidate should be passionate about farming and has a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilites. 

  • Responsible for overseeing the raising of poultry for the production of meat, and other related products. This includes ensuring optimal conditions for the growth and development of the livestock.
  • Implementing and managing feeding programs to ensure proper nutrition for the poultry, promoting their health and productivity.
  • Monitoring the health and wel-being of the livestock, developing and executing biosecurity measures to prevent disease and addressing any health issues promptly to maintain animal welfare.
  • Overseeing daily farming operations, including tasks such as feeding, managing livestock movements, and other essential animal care activities.
    Ensuring that these routines are carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Managing and maintaining farm infrastructure, including fences, sheds, water supply systems, and other critical facilities. Ensuring that al equipment and structures are in good working order and comply with safety standards.
     Overseeing and ensuring quality control and compliance with
    industry
    standards.
     Ensuring the continuous provision of fresh water and feed to maintain the health and productivity of the livestock.
  • Coordinating the delivery of fresh shavings, the push in and spreading of the shavings in to the poultry sheds .
  • Maintaining accurate records of al farming activities, including livestock health, feed consumption, production output. Regularly reviewing and analysing data to inform decision-making and improve farm performance.
  • Managing the farm’s budget, including overseeing expenses, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Overseeing the implementation and operation of farm technology systems, such as tracking software and automated systems for managing livestock health and production. Using data to optimize farm operations and productivity.

  • May be required to select, train and supervise staff and contractors
