●        Location: AUCKLAND

●        Job type: Full-time Permanent

●        Number of positions for this job: up to 1

●        Pay rate: from $30-$35 per hour

●        Days required: 5-6 days/week

●        Hours per week: min 30, max 60 hours per week

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

● Install, configure, test and commission CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and intercom systems in residential and commercial buildings.

● Carry out cabling, wiring, equipment mounting and termination for security systems according to drawings and site requirements.

● Read and interpret electrical/electronic drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.

● Diagnose faults and perform repairs, adjustments and scheduled maintenance on electronic security equipment and control circuits.

● Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure reliable operation of installed systems.

● Liaise with project managers, electricians, clients and site personnel to ensure work is completed to standard and on time.

●Comply with New Zealand electrical safety regulations, building codes and workplace health and safety requirements.

 ● Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs and maintenance.

Requirements:

 ● Relevant trade qualification in electronics or electrical engineering, OR at least 3 years of equivalent work experience.

● Solid knowledge of electronic circuits, low-voltage systems and electrical safety.

● Experience with CCTV, access control, alarm or intercom systems is highly regarded.

● Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

● Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills. - Strong awareness of workplace health and safety.

● Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
