Gutter Guys Ltd is an Auckland-based company, operating in the spouting and home maintenance industry. We specialize in gutter cleaning, spouting installation, and exterior property upkeep for residential and commercial clients across the region.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Power Wash Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will clean and maintain the exterior surfaces of residential and commercial properties using power washing and soft washing techniques.

Candidates need to work a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 07:00 am to 06:00 pm. Working more than 50 hours may be required with additional hourly payment, but overtime will be no more than 8 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-pressure and soft-washing of exterior walls, roofs, driveways, paths and other surfaces.
  • Clean gutters, downpipes and exterior building areas, removing leaves, dirt, moss and other debris.
  • Operate and maintain pressure washing machines, pumps, hoses and related cleaning equipment.
  • Use ladders and Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs) safely when working at height.
  • Apply appropriate cleaning products and techniques according to different surface types and cleaning requirements.
  • Inspect work areas before and after cleaning and identify any damage, hazards or areas requiring additional attention.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling of equipment and cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe and serviceable condition and complete jobs efficiently and professionally.

Pay:

We offer a competitive remuneration of NZD $31 per hour for ordinary working hours and the same pay rate for overtime.

Qualifications and experience:

NZ  Level 4 Qualification, or 3 years of relevant work experience.

Skills and Requirements

  • Previous experience in power washing, exterior cleaning or a related role is preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
  • Reliable, responsible and able to work independently.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A full NZ driver licence is required.
