We are now looking for an experienced and highly capable Finance Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function and support the company’s cost-control and commercial decision-making activities.
About the Role
This is a senior position with broad responsibility for the company’s finance function. The successful candidate will be expected to independently manage the majority of day-to-day financial activities—from transaction review, reconciliations and payments through to month-end closing, management reporting, cash-flow planning, compliance and cost analysis.
We are specifically looking for someone who has previously worked in a lean finance team or independently managed most aspects of a company’s finance function.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s financial activities, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow and funding requirements, with particular support for the company’s property development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor company and property development budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial plans.
- Prepare and review financial reports and provide financial information to management.
- Monitor project costs, revenue, profitability and overall financial performance.
- Assess the financial feasibility of proposed property development projects and investment opportunities.
- Manage banking, project funding, loan facilities and relationships with lenders and other financial institutions.
- Advise management on funding requirements, investment decisions and financial risks.
- Maintain appropriate financial controls and ensure compliance with relevant financial and accounting requirements.
- Coordinate with accountants, banks, valuers, lawyers and other professional advisers when required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, financial economics, accounting, business or a related field.
- Relevant experience in finance, banking, investment, treasury, financial analysis or a similar field.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting and cash flow management skills.
- Good understanding of business funding and financial risk.
- Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
