About the Role

As the Charge Nurse Manager / Team Leader for Transit Care team, you will oversee our teams across North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals. Your role will involve providing clinical oversight and daily leadership to ensure exceptional service delivery.

This pivotal leadership role provides clinical oversight and daily leadership, drives excellence in patient care, oversees workforce management, and supports quality improvement initiatives across the unit.

About You

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Coordinating transit care resources effectively to minimize delays and optimize service efficiency.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure the safe and timely transit care of patients.
  • Managing escalations and delivering immediate clinical support to team members.
  • Contributing significantly to quality improvement initiatives and pathway development.

As an experienced senior nurse leader, you will bring:

  • A postgraduate diploma in specialty nursing practice
  • Level 4 PDRP (Professional Development and Recognition Programme) certification
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical team leadership
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and support staff

You will combine clinical credibility with sound organizational skills and a collaborative leadership style, fostering a supportive, family-friendly team environment while driving service excellence and continuous improvement.
