About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Roof Tiler to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.The successful applicant will carry out roofing installation, repair, maintenance and replacement work on residential and/or commercial properties. The role requires practical roofing skills, attention to detail, a strong commitment to workplace health and safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, replace and maintain roof tiles and associated roofing systems.
  • Prepare roof surfaces and work areas before installation.
  • Measure and assess roof areas and determine the materials required.
  • Install roof tiles, roofing components and associated materials in accordance with project requirements.
  • Remove damaged, broken or deteriorated roofing materials where required.
  • Inspect completed roofing work and identify defects or areas requiring repair.
  • Carry out roof repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Maintain safe and tidy work areas throughout roofing projects.
  • Safely handle, carry and transport roofing materials and equipment.
  • Work cooperatively with other roofers, builders and construction workers.
  • Perform other reasonable roofing-related duties within the scope of the position.

 Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • At least 2 years of relevant roofing, roof tiling or closely related construction experience, or a relevant Level 4 or higher qualification.

Preferred Background

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • Previous experience as a Roof Tiler or Roofer.
  • Experience with different types of roof tiles and roofing materials.
  • Relevant roofing, building or construction training or qualification.

What’s on offer?

·       This role offers FTE equivalent remuneration of $33 - $38 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week. The position is in Auckland and does NOT offer work from home.
