About the Role:
This role involves operating a Class 5 truck with HIAB and fly jib, handling a wide range of deliveries and lifts. Work includes steelwork installation, glass transport, roofing products, frames and trusses, as well as portable buildings and tiny home transport. We specialise in over-dimensional transport, so attention to detail and confidence in handling challenging loads is essential.
The position includes occasional overnight trips, but you’ll generally be home Monday to Friday, providing a solid work-life balance.
Truck can possibly be based anywhere in the Waikato for the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of Class 5 truck with HIAB with and without fly jib
- Transporting and placing a variety of loads with care and accuracy
- Confidently reversing trailers in tight or complex sites
- Operating both semi-trailer and full-trailer units
- Ensuring compliance with over-dimensional transport regulations
- Performing pre-start checks and basic maintenance
- Completing all documentation accurately
- Maintaining clear communication with clients, site crews, and dispatch
What We’re Looking For:
- Full Class 5 driver’s licence
- Current HIAB certification
- Proven experience with semi and full trailer combinations
- Strong reversing and load placement skills
- Experience with overdimensional loads (preferred)
- Solid understanding of health and safety practices
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
