Lead asphalt surfacing projects in Dunedin across day and night shifts

Surfacing Workers

Our crew in Dunedin are now looking for Surfacing Workers to come and join us in as we work to carry out multiple paving projects.

In this role you'll undertake the preparation, laying and finishing of asphalt pavements from small maintenance patches to subdivision access ways all the way through to state highway carriageway resurfacing. You will be working with a range of asphalt mixes. In this role you'll carry out general asphalt surfacing duties including labour and machine operations. You will get the opportunity to operate a range of asphalt equipment including trucks, pavers, skidsteers, rollers and small tools.

In addition to your commitment to safe work practices and the willingness to work alongside your team to achieve our targets, you will also bring:

  • A minimum class 1 full New Zealand Drivers Licence
  • Previous experience working with Asphalt is preferred.
  • Be physically fit as you carry out hands on activities such as shovelling, digging, lifting, periods of walking and standing.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and travel across Otago, Central Lakes and Southland on occasion.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Confidence communicating and working around the public
  • A high level of physical fitness
  • A full car licence would be beneficial
