Class 2 Driver / Asphalt Labourer – Wellington We are looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver / Asphalt Labourer to join a hardworking crew working across Wellington and the wider region. This is a hands-on role, not just a driving job. You'll spend part of your day behind the wheel and the rest working alongside the crew, helping with asphalt preparation, laying, repairs and general civil labouring. Payrate - $25-$30 depending on experience What You'll Be Doing

  • Driving Class 2 vehicles to and from worksites
  • Transporting asphalt, materials and equipment
  • Assisting with asphalt preparation and laying
  • Raking, shovelling and spreading asphalt
  • Carrying out asphalt repairs and reinstatement work
  • General civil and roading labouring
  • Working as part of a small, experienced crew
  • Following site, traffic management and health & safety procedures
  • Working outdoors and carrying out physically demanding tasks

What We're Looking For

  • Full Class 2 NZ Driver Licence – essential
  • Previous asphalt or roading experience – essential
  • Comfortable jumping out of the truck and getting involved with the crew
  • Physically fit and capable of manual work
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Works well as part of a small team
  • Strong focus on health and safety
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
