About the role
We are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Driver to join our Transport team in Dunedin.
This is a varied role where you will provide safe, timely and efficient transport for staff, patients and goods across our hospital services. You will play an important part in keeping essential hospital services running smoothly by ensuring people, mail, parcels and equipment get to where they need to be, when they need to be.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing safe and timely transport for staff, patients and goods.
- Collecting and delivering mail, parcels and equipment to the correct destination.
- Providing a responsive and reliable transport service.
- Working closely with the Transport team and hospital staff.
- Undertaking other duties as requested by the Transport Team Leader.
About you
You will be a dependable and adaptable person who takes pride in providing excellent customer service. You will be comfortable working independently while also being a valued member of a busy team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current, clean driver's licence.
- Experience driving mini vans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to use sound judgement and respond appropriately to different situations.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
- A high level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.
- A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

You will be part of the Transport team within Health New Zealand Southern, working with hospital staff and patients across Dunedin Hospital.
