Spartan Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our growing team. The role involves working on civil and structural construction projects throughout the North Island. Travel and working away from home may be required, with applicable allowances provided in accordance with company policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Complete carpentry work to a high professional standard.
  • Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures and fixtures.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble building materials.
  • Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Minimise material wastage and rework.
  • Assist with general labouring and construction duties as required.
  • Maintain compliance with company health and safety requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Location: Hamilton, Waikato (Point of Hire: 47 Riverlea Road, Hillcrest, Hamilton 3216), with travel to project sites across the North Island as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant carpentry experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of undertaking outdoor construction work.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
