As our AI-enabled safety platform continues to develop, we are seeking an experienced Multimedia Specialist to design and develop interactive multimedia content and digital user experiences that enable users to understand, interact with and effectively use our technology.

The role will work across interactive media, user interface and user experience design, digital visualisation, animation, video and multimedia production. The Multimedia Specialist will collaborate with our technology and product teams to transform complex AI-generated safety information, alerts and operational data into clear, intuitive and engaging digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Interactive Multimedia Design and Development

  • Design and develop interactive multimedia content for PrevenX's AI-enabled construction safety platform and related digital applications.
  • Create multimedia concepts, storyboards, interaction flows, screen layouts and prototypes for web-based and application-based products.
  • Combine text, graphics, animation, video, audio and interactive components to communicate safety information and technology functions effectively.
  • Develop interactive digital experiences that enable users to understand AI-generated safety alerts, risk information and operational data.
  • Determine the appropriate combination of multimedia formats and interactive elements for different digital products and user requirements.
  • Produce multimedia assets and interactive content for product demonstrations, client presentations, onboarding and digital training environments.

UI/UX and Interactive Experience Design

  • Design user interfaces and user experiences for PrevenX's digital platforms, dashboards and applications.
  • Analyse user requirements and operational workflows to determine appropriate interface structures and interaction methods.
  • Develop wireframes, user journeys, interactive prototypes and interface specifications.
  • Design intuitive visual and interactive methods for presenting AI-generated alerts, computer-vision outputs and workplace safety information.
  • Apply user-centred design principles to improve usability, accessibility and engagement across digital products.
  • Conduct usability reviews and incorporate user feedback into multimedia and interface improvements.
  • Ensure consistent visual language, navigation and interaction patterns across PrevenX digital products.

Digital Visualisation, Animation and Video

  • Design and produce 2D animation, motion graphics, video and other multimedia content for PrevenX's technology products.
  • Create visualisations that explain complex AI, computer-vision and workplace-safety concepts in an accessible format.
  • Develop animated demonstrations and interactive simulations illustrating system functionality, safety scenarios and user workflows.
  • Produce and edit digital video and graphical content for product interfaces, demonstrations, training and implementation.
  • Develop visual representations of safety risks, system events and operational information generated by PrevenX technology.
  • Optimise multimedia assets for use across web applications, digital platforms and different display environments.

Multimedia Production and Technical Implementation

  • Select and use appropriate multimedia software, authoring tools and production techniques for individual projects.
  • Prepare multimedia design specifications and production documentation.
  • Develop, assemble and integrate multimedia components into digital products and applications.
  • Work with software developers and technical personnel to ensure multimedia designs can be effectively implemented within PrevenX's technology environment.
  • Test multimedia and interactive components for functionality, usability, compatibility and performance.
  • Identify and resolve multimedia design and implementation issues during product development.
  • Maintain and update multimedia content as products and user requirements evolve.

AI Safety Product Communication

  • Translate complex technical concepts relating to artificial intelligence, computer vision and workplace safety into clear visual and interactive experiences.
  • Develop multimedia content demonstrating how AI-enabled safety technologies operate in construction environments.
  • Create interactive training and onboarding materials to support client adoption of PrevenX technology.
  • Develop visual content explaining system functionality, safety alerts, risk identification and recommended user actions.
  • Work with technical specialists to ensure multimedia representations accurately communicate system capabilities and outputs.

Collaboration and Project Delivery

  • Work closely with software developers, AI specialists, technical personnel and management throughout the multimedia development lifecycle.
  • Gather and analyse multimedia and user-experience requirements from internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Present multimedia concepts, prototypes and design solutions for review.
  • Manage assigned multimedia projects from initial concept and design through production, testing and implementation.
  • Maintain multimedia asset libraries, design documentation and project records.
  • Ensure multimedia projects are completed to agreed quality standards and delivery timeframes.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Digital Media, Multimedia, New Media, Interactive Media, Digital Design, Creative Media, User Experience Design or another closely related discipline; and
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience in multimedia design and development, interactive media, digital product design, UI/UX design or a closely related field.

Candidates with substantial relevant professional experience may also be considered where their experience demonstrates an equivalent level of professional capability.

  • Strong understanding of usability, information architecture and interaction design principles.

  • Ability to manage multimedia projects from concept through to implementation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
