The successful candidate will hold at least three years of relevant experience in industrial carpentry, or a relevant trade qualification in carpentry, joinery, or related fields. Would be beneficail to have concrete experience. Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, structural principles, and safe use of hand and power tools is essential. The ability to independently interpret complex technical drawings, problem-solve on site, and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision is required.
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Carpenter to take a lead role across a variety of construction and fabrication projects. This role requires advanced trade skill, strong judgement, and the ability to manage complex tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently construct, install, and repair complex structures, fixtures, and fittings to a high standard
- Interpret detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Plan and sequence carpentry work to ensure efficient use of time and materials
- Select, measure, cut, and shape a wide range of materials with precision
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools, ensuring safe and correct use across the team
- Ensure all work meets relevant building codes, structural requirements, and quality standards
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior carpenters and apprentices
- Liaise directly with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to resolve technical issues
- Conduct quality assurance checks on completed work, signing off to required standards
- Maintain accurate job records, including materials, time, and progress reporting
- Contribute to project planning, providing input on carpentry scope, timelines, and resourcing
- Undertake other senior carpentry or site duties as required by management
