PB08&07 LIMITED, a professional road freight transport service provider, is currently seeking dependable and punctual Class 5 Truck Drivers to join its team in Auckland. The ideal candidate must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as required.

The role involves long distance travel across various regions throughout New Zealand, with all work-related travel and fuel costs covered by the employer.

Key Duties:

  • Operate a company Class 5 truck to transport and deliver goods to its clients.
  •   Load and unload goods safely, following appropriate handling procedures. 
  • Complete delivery records and keep all required documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Refuel the vehicle as necessary.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and maintain its general condition.
  • Promptly inform management of any road incidents, delays, or unexpected issues.
  • Operate the vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and road safety requirements.
  • Carry out regular vehicle checks and report any faults or defects identified.
  • Immediately notify management of any accident and follow the required reporting procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks recording driving hours and work activities.
  • Report any mechanical or vehicle-related issues to the relevant maintenance personnel promptly.
  • Use GPS and other navigation systems to plan suitable delivery routes and ensure efficient, timely deliveries.
  • Maintain a professional and positive approach while providing courteous customer service at all times.

Candidates will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and be paid between $30 to $35 per hour.

Other Requirements: 

  • Relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory. 
  • Must hold a valid NZ Class 5 Truck Driver Licence or an equivalent overseas heavy truck licence.
  • A clean driving record is essential.
  • Must be reliable and available to work varied shifts, frequent long-distance travel including weekends. 
  • Physically fit and capable of performing daily driving duties, including lifting when required.
  • Good time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, and committed to maintaining a high standard of work.
  • Able to work independently and manage the responsibilities associated with long-distance and overnight assignments.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Able to pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) criminal record check
