The growing business is looking for experienced drivers to join the team.

It is a permanent full-time position, based in Auckland, but require to travel national wide from time to time. The role is with 30 hours guaranteed hours of work per week, and up to 50 hours if required. The competitive pay range from $32 to $40 depending on skills and experience. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Driving truck; carting aggregates from quarry; carting asphalt to site for unloading by hand ortipping into asphalt paver; loading and unloading machinery onto transport trailer andrelocating machinery to and from different sites.
  • Driving large and small trucks, depending on the vehicle assigned to you during that day.
  • Fitting and operation on site of roller spreader attachments to rear of heavy trucks.
  • Assisting the asphalting crew on site when required, including working within the crew andfollowing direction from the asphalt team leader.
  • Operation of specialist construction machinery as required.
  • Driving light vehicles, spraying emulsion, operating specialist asphalt or milling, laying androlling equipment.
  • Maintain log book of the daily use of plant and equipment use and labour hours.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on machinery and liaising with the mechanic regardingany issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policy and procedure for all staff and visitors operating withinyour site.
  • Participate actively in weekly tool box meetings.

About you: 

  • at least 24-months relevant experience.
  • Hold the relevant Class 4/5 driver licence or overseas equivalent.
  • A professional attitude demonstrating structure/discipline with hands-on operational involvement.
  • A commitment to customer satisfaction and a willingness to represent Pro Magma in the best possible manner.
  • An attitude of ownership and pro-activeness in association with the performance of the Company.
  • A commitment to a proactive approach to H&S in the work place.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety best practice.
