Metal Fabricator Needed

ALUMINUM&FACADE.AKL LIMITED is a well-established company in Auckland. We are looking for Metal Fabricators to join our team. 

 Salary Range: $28-30 per hour

Location: In Auckland range

Minimum hours per week: 30 hours at least

What you'll need to succeed:

  • One of the following: 

  1. Two-year relevant work experience, or

  2. Level 4 relevant qualification, or

  • Honest, reliable, hardworking with a 'can do' attitude and willing to learn

  • Attention to detail and able to see projects through to completion

  • Excellent work ethic and great time management

  • Passion for the industry

  • Being physically fit

  • Must not have any criminal record

The role will include, but not limited to:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, specifications and job requirements for aluminium doors, windows and other metal fabrication projects.

  • Measure, mark, cut and prepare aluminium profiles, metal sheets, frames and other components using hand tools, power tools and metal fabrication machinery.

  • Fabricate and assemble aluminium window and door frames, sashes, panels, frames and associated metal components in accordance with drawings and specifications.

  • Operate cutting saws, drilling machines, punching machines, grinders, presses and other workshop equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Set up and operate welding equipment to join metal components, including aluminium and other suitable metals, using appropriate welding techniques.

  • Prepare metal surfaces and components for welding by cleaning, grinding, deburring, aligning and positioning materials before welding.

  • Inspect welded joints and fabricated components for alignment, strength, dimensions, finish and overall quality, and rectify defects where necessary.

  • Assemble, fit and adjust aluminium doors, windows, frames, hardware and related components to ensure proper operation and accurate fit.

  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop and comply with workplace health and safety requirements, including appropriate use of PPE.
