About the Role

Join Voyagers as a Registered Nurse Case Manager, working alongside tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau across the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Your mahi will include assessment, care coordination and therapeutic support for young people experiencing a range of mental health needs, including acute, crisis presentations and medication review support alongside the medical team and MDT. It is varied work that calls for sound clinical judgement, genuine connection and the ability to respond thoughtfully when situations are complex.

About the Team/Service/Location

Voyagers is the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service supporting tamariki, rangatahi and whānau across the Eastern Bay of Plenty. The team works collaboratively with families and community partners, combining evidence-based practice with care that reflects the needs of the people and communities it serves. The service continues to evolve, with a strong focus on supporting clinicians to develop their practice, share their expertise and grow professionally.

About You

You are an experienced Mental Health Nurse who connects well with young people and their whānau. Calm when things become challenging, you know how to listen, build trust and use your clinical judgement to guide the next steps. You enjoy being part of a team but are equally comfortable managing your own caseload and taking responsibility for the care you coordinate.

What you will bring:

  • Current Nursing Council of New Zealand registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Mental Health included in your scope of practice
  • Experience working within child and adolescent mental health services
  • Confidence assessing and supporting tamariki and rangatahi experiencing acute or crisis presentations
  • Strong mental health assessment, case management and care coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with young people, whānau and community partners
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Commitment to evidence-based, whānau-centred and culturally responsive practice
  • Knowledge or experience in working with eating disorders would be an advantage
  • Current full NZ drivers licence
