Seeking a CAD Detailer ($32–$38/hr) with joinery or drafting experience to create production-ready Cabinet Vision models and shop drawings for high-end residential and commercial projects.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced or ambitious CAD Detailer to join the team. In this role, you will take approved designs and turn them into accurate, production-ready Cabinet Vision models and shop drawings for manufacturing and CNC output. Supported by an experienced team genuinely invested in training and upskilling, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced detailer, a cabinet maker wanting to step off the tools, or a draughtsperson looking to transition into the joinery sector.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and designs for civil engineering works such as drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges and other structures
- Performing and directing fieldwork and laboratory testing
- Interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment
- Collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations
- Estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
- Inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work
- Conducting field and laboratory tests of construction materials and soils, and collecting data for traffic surveys
- Prepares detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering work in support of Civil Engineering Professionals and Engineering Technologists. Registration or licensing may be required
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (qualification preferred but not compulsory)
- Ready to handle a varied mix of high-end residential and commercial joinery projects.
- Looking to move off the tools with deep practical knowledge of cabinetry construction and factory workflows (Cabinet Vision training provided).
- From architecture, engineering, or shopfitting with strong CAD fundamentals and an eye for detail (joinery-specific training provided).
- High attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and strong communication skills.
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred but not compulsory.
