We are looking for an Electronics Repair Technician to work in our store in the Auckland region.

This is a full-time, permanent role, with a minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week. The pay rate will be $27 to $32 per hour, depending on the skills and relevant experience the successful applicant brings to the role.

The successful applicant must be mature, responsible and able to independently handle their work responsibilities when required. Flexibility to work on a rostered basis is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in mobile phones, laptops, computers and other electronic devices.
  • Assess damage and determine appropriate repair requirements and costs.
  • Carry out timely and efficient repairs of mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices.
  • Perform chip-level repairs on mobile phone and laptop PCB boards.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify hardware and software faults.
  • Replace faulty components and install replacement parts as required.
  • Install and configure operating systems, software, antivirus programs and device drivers.
  • Test repaired devices and components to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Maintain accurate repair records and related documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant electronic devices, repair techniques and software.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work area.

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a Level 4 or above qualification or two years of work experience in any relevant industry.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Be able to work on a flexible roster.
  • Be responsible and able to work independently when required.
  • Demonstrate initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills.
