About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Carpentry work focused on concrete structures and bridge components, ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification.
Working closely with site supervisors and other trades, you will interpret construction plans and translate them into accurate, durable formwork and concrete boxing on temporary assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Construct and install formwork and concrete boxing for structural and bridge elements.
* Read, interpret, and follow construction drawings and plans to set out work accurately.
* Measure, cut, and assemble timber and other materials to required dimensions and tolerances.
* Assist with the preparation and placement of concrete, ensuring correct levels and finishes.
* Use hand and power tools safely to complete Carpentry tasks on site.
* Work collaboratively with site teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.
* Maintain a clean, organised work area and adhere to all site safety procedures.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Carpenter on concrete structures and/or bridge construction projects.
* Strong practical skills in formwork and concrete boxing for civil construction.
* Ability to confidently read and interpret construction plans and set out work.
* Competent in the safe use of Carpentry hand tools and power tools.
* Good understanding of site safety requirements and safe work practices.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or civil projects.
* Familiarity with local building codes and standards relevant to concrete and bridge works.
* Ability to adapt quickly to different sites and project requirements in a temp environment.
Qualifications:
* Trade qualification in Carpentry or relevant construction discipline (preferred).
* Relevant site safety certifications (e.g. Site Safe Passport or equivalent).
