The Foodstore 910 Gordon road Hastings and Rathour Food Store at 500 Queen Street West, Hastings.
We are seeking two motivated individuals to help lead our teams, oversee daily operations, and maintain excellent customer service standards. Applicants must clearly state their preferred location at the top of their CV.
 

 

We are looking for 2 Assistant Managers in Hawke's Bay Region in New Zealand.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:-


• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of retail sales staff during each shift.
• Prepare and submit daily sales and inventory reports to the Store Manager.
• Assist the Store Manager in preparing or adjusting staff rosters, allocate duties and
monitor the completion of assigned tasks.
• Ensure customers receive prompt and professional service and resolve customer
enquiries and complaints.
• Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations and with operational, staffing,
stock management, customer service and administrative matters whenever required.
• Guide staff in handling complex sales transactions, refunds, exchanges and payment
procedures.
• Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, inducting and training staff.
• Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback and address or escalate
workplace concerns.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks, verify deliveries and order or arrange
the replenishment of stock.
• Examine returned products and determine the appropriate refund, exchange or other
action in accordance with store policies.
• Ensure products are accurately priced, appropriately labelled and attractively
displayed.
• Implement sales promotions and guide staff in promoting and upselling suitable
products.
• Open and close the store, including completing cash reconciliation and payment
settlements.
• Ensure the store remains clean, organised and visually presentable.
• Enforce health and safety, store security and incident-reporting procedures.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and employees.

Work Experience Or Qualification: - Minimum 6 Months Relevant Work Experience OR 
Relevant Qualification is required.
Hours and Position:-
• These are full time permanent positions with minimum 30 hours + per week.


Hourly Pay Rate: -
• $25 to $28 per hou
