The growing workload in the business demands an experienced Welder-Fabricator to join the busy team.

This is a full-time role, with minimum 32 hours guaranteed work and up to 60 hours a week. You will be based in Waikato and may travel to other regions for completion of the tasks if required. Competitive pay range from $30 to $40 depends on skills/experience. 

Responsibilities and duties:

·         Cooperation with all company policies or procedures

·         Attend and contribute to health and safety meetings

·         Contribute to safety risk assessments on all sites, equipment and fall protection

·         Laboring – includes heavy lifting, bending, repetition – this role includes no light duties.

·         Maintaining a tidy workshop, site and vehicles

·         Ensure quality finish on all jobs

·         Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and reasonable care that others are not harmed by something they do or don’t do

·         Follow any reasonable health and safety instructions given to them by the business, as far as they are reasonably able to.

·         Cooperate with any reasonable business policy or procedure relating to the workplace’s health and safety that they have been told about.

 

The successful candidate must have:

·         At least 2 years relevant experience

·         Skilled in the use of various power tools

·         Willingness to learn

·         Strong work ethic and commitment

·         Punctual and reliable              

·          A tidy appearance

·         Good communication skills

·         Ability to work as part of a team

·         Strong, fit and physically well
