Jiyam Homes Limited is seeking experienced carpenters to join our team on residential new builds and renovation projects.

What we offer:
• Pay: Minimum NZ$28 and maximum NZ$35 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
• Hours: 30–40 hours per week, with a minimum of 30 hours guaranteed and a maximum of 40 hours per week.
• Employment: Full-time.
• Locations: Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty.
• Employer-paid travel and accommodation for work assignments away from home.

Travel requirements:
You must be willing and able to travel between job sites across Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty, depending on project requirements. This may involve staying away from home while working at different locations.

Key responsibilities:
• Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications to determine carpentry requirements.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber, steel framing and other building materials.
• Construct and install wall frames, roof framing, floor structures and associated building components.
• Assemble and install metal stud and track framing systems.
• Install doors, windows, interior linings, trims, cabinetry and other fittings.
• Build and repair decks, fences and timber retaining walls.
• Carry out renovation work, including removing and replacing damaged timber and fittings.
• Check completed work for accuracy, alignment and quality.
• Safely operate and maintain hand tools and power tools.
• Follow site health and safety procedures and coordinate work with supervisors and other trades.

Skills and experience required:
• At least two years of relevant carpentry work experience.
• Ability to read and follow building plans and take accurate measurements.
• Practical skills in timber and metal framing, installation and finishing work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, attention to detail and a commitment to safe working practices.
• Willingness to travel and work across the regions listed above.
