South Pacific Health (SPH) is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor based in Hobsonville, Auckland. Reporting to executive leadership, you will evaluate financial and operational controls, manage risk across our manufacturing and export channels, and drive cost-efficiency. Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree, are progressing toward or have completed CA/CPA/CIA, and have 3+ years in auditing—preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or natural health products. About South Pacific Health (SPH) South Pacific Health (SPH) is dedicated to delivering high-quality natural health products—including New Zealand UMF™ Manuka Honey, Green Lipped Mussel supplements, and natural skincare—to both domestic and international markets.

The Role As our Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in evaluating and enhancing the integrity, security, and efficiency of our financial and operational control processes. Based at our Hobsonville office and reporting to executive management, you will examine our risk management framework, verify compliance with health sector export standards, and optimize cost structures across our manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Strategy & Execution: Design and implement audit methodologies; examine financial statements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational cost structures.

  • Internal Controls & Risk Management: Evaluate system adequacy, identify financial and operational risks across supply chains, and implement controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to NZ tax obligations, statutory reporting, corporate regulations, and health sector export guidelines.

  • Reporting & Remediation: Deliver actionable audit reports to leadership, monitor corrective action execution, and assist in establishing budgetary cost controls.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

  • 3+ years of experience in internal/external audit or financial controls (experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or export logistics is highly advantageous).

  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, financial risk evaluation, and accounting/ERP systems.

  • Exceptional analytical capabilities, ethical standards, and written/verbal communication skills.
