City Produce Limited is looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Day Manager to join our team. The Day Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business, coordinating staff, managing orders and deliveries, maintaining stock and quality standards, and ensuring customers receive efficient and reliable service. Minimum 30 hours gauranteed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations during the day shift.
  • Lead, motivate and support staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
  • Coordinate the receiving, handling, storage and distribution of fresh produce.
  • Monitor customer orders and ensure they are accurately picked, prepared and dispatched on time.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, customers, drivers and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor stock levels, inventory movement and product availability.
  • Check the quality, freshness and presentation of produce received and dispatched.
  • Assist with ordering and stock replenishment to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and assist in resolving delivery or order issues.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve operational issues professionally.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food handling, workplace safety and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements are followed.
  • Train, supervise and mentor junior and new staff.
  • Monitor daily performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce errors or wastage.
  • Complete relevant administrative, stock-control and operational records as required.

Work Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

 or

  • Two years of working experience.
