Hours of work: Minimum 20 hours per week, Maximum 50 hours per week, shifted by
roster from Monday to Sunday
We are a liquor store retail business located in Glenfield Auckland, New Zealand, offering a wide range of alcoholic beverages including wines, beers, spirits, and other related products. We are committed to providing excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of compliance with liquor licensing regulations, and creating a welcoming shopping environment for our local community. The store focuses on delivering quality products, professional advice, and a positive customer experience. Due to business growth and operational requirements, we are seeking to employ two Shop Assistants to support our daily retail operations and customer service activities.
We prefer the candidate:

Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Good knowledge of wines, beers, spirits and other beverages is an advantage

Passionate about sales and motivated to achieve sales targets

Adaptable to change and able to multi-task

Able to work well under pressure.
Duties and responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide professional advice on alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, and related products.

Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences, budget, and intended use.

Process sales transactions accurately handling cash, EFTPOS, and credit card payments.

Verify customers' identification and ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws and age restriction requirements.

Replenish shelves, arrange product displays, and maintain attractive merchandising standards throughout the store.

Monitor stock levels, receive deliveries, unpack stock, and assist with inventory control and stocktaking activities.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor, storage areas, and checkout counters.

Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and product returns professionally.

Promote special offers and recommend additional products to maximise sales opportunities.

Follow workplace health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and liquor regulations.
