About the Role 

ExtraStaff is currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators for multiple immediate start positions based in South Auckland. 

Working within a busy food manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for safely moving stock, raw materials, and finished products throughout the site. This role will involve working in cold store and chiller environments, so applicants must be comfortable working in refrigerated conditions. 

Successful candidates will be assigned to one of two fixed production teams: 

 

Team A 

Sunday to Tuesday: 4:00pm - 4:00am 

Wednesday: 4:00pm - 10:00pm 

Team B 

Wednesday: 10:00pm - 4:00am 

Thursday to Saturday: 4:00pm - 4:00am 

 

Shift times may vary slightly depending on operational requirements. Full site-specific training will be provided. 

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities 

Safely operate forklifts to move stock, raw materials, and finished products 

Load and unload deliveries while supporting day-to-day site operations 

Follow all health and safety, food safety, and workplace procedures 

Skills & Experience 

Minimum 3 years' forklift operating experience 

Current Forklift Licence 

Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or cold storage environments is advantageous 

 

 

Essential Requirements 

Reliable transport and the ability to get to and from work 

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test 

Physically fit and capable of working in chilled environments 

Strong reliability and punctuality 

Legal right to work in New Zealand
