KIARA & VIRAT 2022 ENTERPRISES LIMITED is seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Dismantler to join its team in Putaruru, Waikato. The successful candidate will have good attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining safe, organised, and high-quality work practices.
Key Duties:
• Dismantle used, damaged, or unwanted motor vehicles to recover usable parts, components, and recyclable materials for resale or recycling.
• Identify and assess recovered vehicle parts and materials to determine their condition, quality, and suitability for reuse or resale.
• Remove, sort, and separate vehicle components and recyclable materials according to their type, condition, and intended use.
• Clean and prepare recovered automotive parts and materials for storage, resale, or recycling.
• Organise and store recovered parts and recyclable materials appropriately to maintain their condition and facilitate resale or further processing.
• Assist with assessing the value of recovered automotive parts and recyclable materials for resale.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicles dismantled and parts and materials recovered, processed, stored, and sold.
• Drive and manoeuvre vehicles within the yard and between designated work areas as required for collection, positioning and dismantling, and safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload and store heavy vehicle parts, components and recyclable materials.
• Ensure vehicles, parts and materials are handled safely and efficiently in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and will be paid between $25 and $30 per hour.
Other important requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience.
- A valid and current Driver’s License.
- A forklift licence.
- Available to work on weekends
- Reliable, proactive, and hardworking attitude.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Physically fit and able to safely perform the physical duties required for the role.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Able to pass the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check.
