We are seeking an experienced ASME IX Fabricator welder to join our clients team. Theyre a leading Christchurch engineering and fabrication company delivering medium to heavy structural steel, stainless steel, and specialised engineering solutions across New Zealand.

Their work spans infrastructure, industrial, commercial, and bespoke engineering projects where precision, quality, and compliance are critical.
With multiple major projects underway—and several more approaching fabrication stage—they are expanding their workshop capability to meet sustained demand.

We are seeking ASME IX‑qualified Fabricator Welders with strong stainless steel experience to join the growing workshop team. The role will support a busy pipeline of high‑spec fabrication work, including pressure‑related components, structural assemblies, and stainless steel fabrication for specialised engineering applications.
You’ll be part of a skilled, safety‑focused workshop environment where quality workmanship and technical accuracy are essential.

What We’re Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
  • ASME Section IX welding qualification Current or recently expired certification
  • Strong capability in stainless steel fabrication and welding
  • Experience in medium to heavy engineering or workshop‑based manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed workshop drawings
  • Proven skill in producing high‑quality, compliant welds
  • A team‑focused approach and pride in workmanship
  • Experience with pressure‑related or code‑governed fabrication (advantageous)
